Tracie Holton

flower farmer & mixed media artist

My botanical monprints are hand pulled from a gel plate. They are created with numerous layers of color using real botanical material or papercuts of reproductions of vintage botanical images.
My collages are often built from hand printed monotypes and hand decorated papers. At times vintage papers and book pages are used. Papercuts are cut from reproductions of vintage images using a scalpel or xacto knife.
My abstract monprints and painted papers are hand pulled from a variety of plates. Depending on the effect I want, I might use a gel plate, Plexiglas plate or handmade plates.

Hi, I'm Tracie, flower farmer
& mixed media artist.

My art explores time, decay & deterioration of people, things and knowledge. Along with the pain and emotions, as well as the beauty around & (hopefully) the eventual acceptance of them. Depending on the day, I may see my art and myself in very different lights. It is my hope that people will take from my art whatever they need in that moment.

I make art and grow unusual & hard to find heirloom flowers & starter plants on my urban farm in Burien, WA. To learn more about my flower farm, visit Bluet Farms online.
